After Hours Care – Epichealth Ocean Grove

After-hours care is accessible primary healthcare outside of normal general practice opening hours and outside of hospital emergency departments.

Epichealth Ocean Grove After Hours Service provides care for people needing medical attention outside of normal general practice hours. Our after-hours healthcare practitioners can manage health conditions that require timely attention but do not need the level of care provided by an emergency department.

Please note that the after-hours service is not a substitute for your regular GP consultations, which you should continue as usual.

No appointment is required to access our after-hours service. Simply walk in during our operating hours, and one of our healthcare practitioners will see you as soon as possible. You do not need to be an existing patient of Epichealth to use this service; it is open to all members of the community.

For your convenience, Epichealth Ocean Grove After Hours Service also offers telehealth consultations.

Telehealth consultations are fully bulk billed, just like our in-clinic services, so there are no out-of-pocket costs for you. To access telehealth, simply call our after-hours clinic during operating hours, and our team will guide you through the process.

For life-threatening medical issues or severe pain, please call triple zero (000) or visit the emergency department of your nearest public hospital for immediate medical attention.

General Practitioners

Location:    Epichealth Medical Clinic – Ocean Grove

Period:         1st Nov 2024 to 31th Oct 2025

Service:        After Hours in-clinic GP care for people whose health condition cannot wait for treatment until regular primary health care services are next available (urgent, low acuity care)

Can include Face-to-Face consult and Telehealth.

Time: 

• Mon to Fri:   7pm to 9pm
• Sat:                  6pm to 9pm
• Sun:                 3pm to 9pm

Mandatory Requirement:

• Vocationally Registered GP
• Current Registration with AHPRA with no conditions
• Medical Degree with a licence to practice in Australia
• Current Police Check
• Current Working With Children Check
• Completion of or committing to complete Multicultural Training

Nurse Practitioners

Period:          1st Nov 2024 to 30th Sep 2025

Service:        After Hours in-clinic GP care for people whose health condition cannot wait for treatment until regular primary health care services are next available (urgent, low acuity care)

Can include Face-to-Face consult and Telehealth.

Time: 

• Mon to Fri:   7pm to 9pm
• Sat:                  6pm to 9pm
• Sun:                 3pm to 9pm

Mandatory Requirement:

• Registered Nurse (Div 1)
• Current Nurse Practitioner Endorsement with AHPRA with no conditions
• Current endorsement with NMBA as a Nurse Practitioner
• Current Police Check
• Current Working with Children Check
• Completion of or committing to complete Multicultural Training
